Project Description

Jasmine Powder Room – Photographs by: Libbie Holmes Photography
Virginia Village Powder Room
Location: Denver, CO
Summer 2020
Scope of Work:
This ‘Jasmine Powder Room’ received floorplans with a shower addition, tile drawings, and wall millwork. It also included selections for plumbing, tile, vanity, hardware, lighting, and mirror.
The Challenge:
Our clients wanted to add a small shower to their existing powder room by taking space from their adjacent laundry area. With a small space such as this we wanted to help them add personality while also making sure the room felt bigger than its actual footprint.
What We Did:
House Meraki chose to highlight our client’s favorite Spanish inspired tile by making it a feature. It was showcased on a shower wall and ran onto the shower floor below for high impact. We balanced this patterned tile with a subtler subway tile and a board and batten treatment on all the remaining walls of the bathroom. The lightness of the subway tile with the B&B balances the colors and patterns throughout. This helped to ensure they didn’t overwhelm the small space. The blue vanity added some color and interest outside of the shower and by choosing an open bottom design the bathroom feels more open.

We’d love to hear about your project and how we can help you turn your dreams into reality.
